2nd EAYE Workshop on Social Networks
The European Association of Young Economists (EAYE) and the Paris School of Economics organized the 2nd EAYE Workshop, which took place at the PSE in Paris on the 3rd and 4th of October 2019 with the theme "Humanizing Social Networks".
Social and economic ties play a major role in our lives. They are crucial in shaping and explaining for example technology adoption, peer effects, co-authorships, smoking behavior, obesity, school performance, information diffusion, migration etc. In recent years, interest in social and economic networks has exploded and it is opening up new avenues for theoretical and applied economic research. We invited young researchers working on networks related topics (theory, experiments and empirics) to apply to this workshop.
Keynote lectures were given by Sanjeev Goyal (University of Cambridge) and Emily Breza (Harvard University).
Please find the full program here and more information on the workshop website (here).

1st EAYE Workshop on Housing and Macroeconomics
The European Association of Young Economists (EAYE), in collaboration with Leipzig University, organized the 1st EAYE Workshop, which took place at Leipzig University on September 10-11, 2018.
The 1st EAYE Workshop marked the beginning of an ongoing series of in-depth workshops on a specific topic within economics, organized "by young economists for young economists".
Since the Great Recession, research on housing and macroeconomics has become a highly relevant and vibrant research field within macroeconomics. What drives house-price fluctuations? How do pronounced fluctuations in house prices and housing credit affect the real economy? What explains the long run dynamics of house prices? What are the macroeconomic consequences of regulations in the housing market and in housing finance? The aim of the workshop is to bring together young economists, as well
as a few distinguished senior researchers, that work on these pressing questions and on housing and macroeconomics in general.
Keynote lectures were given by Alberto Martín (ECB, CREI, Barcelona GSE) and Moritz Kuhn (University of Bonn, CEPR, IZA).
Please find the full program here.
