the 25th Spring Meeting of Young Economists in Bologna
will take place 17-19 June 2021

We hope to be able to hold the conference in person. If the pandemic makes this impossible, it will move 
​fully online instead. A prize for the best paper will be awarded during the conference.

CANCELLED: 3rd EAYE Workshop

The 3rd EAYE workshop in Innsbruck scheduled for 29th April to 1st of May is cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation in Europe.
EAYE Workshop Bids
We accept bids for organizing and hosting an EAYE Workshop on a specific topic within economics on an ongoing basis. The goal of the EAYE Workshops is to facilitate the interaction between young non-tenured researchers with senior experts in their specific field. We welcome submissions for all types of workshops: interactive workshop concepts, job market trainings, or intense feedback rounds with one to two experienced researchers.

Spring Meeting of Young Economists 2019 in Brussels (Belgium)
The 24th Spring Meeting of Young Economists has been hosted by the Université libre de Bruxelles on 11-13 April 2019.
Keynote Speakers were Michael Bordo, Paul Collier, David Levine and Eric Maskin. 

Marius Faber (University of Basel) received the Best Paper Award for his work on "Robots and reshoring: Evidence from Mexican labor markets".

"How to Survive the Economics Job Market - Strategies and Advice for Young Economists"  
The European Association of Young Economists (EAYE) has organized a panel discussion at the EEA-ESEM 2018 in Cologne. The aim of this panel has been to provide different insights on the academic job market offered by experienced senior economists form the preparation and hiring side and from recent job market candidates.

Spring Meeting of Young Economists 2018 in Palma (Spain)
The 23th Spring Meeting of Young Economists has been hosted by the University of Balearic Islands on 30 May - 1 June 2018. Keynote Speakers were Margaret Meyer, Pol Antràs, and Manuel Arellano. Florian Wozny (IZA Bonn) received the Best Paper Award for his work co-authered by Benjamin Elsner on "The Human Capital Cost of Radiation: Long-Run Evidence from Exposure Outside the Womb".
